Sweet Sounds From Heaven

Our mind has powerful possibilities. Our brain is like a complex computer; without it to tell our body what to do, we would be hopelessly comatose. I have been viewing a commercial on television for a non-stick product that has intrigued me. A lady is trying to remove some meat from a pan, and it is not yielding.

Immediately, her mind wanders to the worst scenario. She pops the meat out and it goes through her kitchen window and through her automobile window and sets off her auto theft alarm; all this while her family and guests are patiently waiting for the main dish to be delivered to the table. She harnesses her thoughts and pulls it off and delivers the meal with compliments.

Yeah, she was having some struggles, but in her mind it was a catastrophe. That’s exactly what the devil specializes in, blowing things completely out of proportion. When we find ourselves scared, worried, or otherwise tormented by any situation we face, we must bring those thoughts into captivity and cast them down in Jesus’ Name. They are merely facts, and the Truth in God’s Word will combat the facts every time.

In order to do this, it is essential to know what the Bible says and what has been promised to us, if we will only believe. Luke 21:15 For I will give you a mouth and wisdom, which all your adversaries shall not be able to gainsay nor resist. This is a very good promise to believe. What comes out of our mouth is VERY IMPORTANT. As Believers, we have to transform (change) our minds and line up with what God says about life.

Deuteronomy 30:19 I call Heaven and earth to witness this day against you, that I have set before you life and death, the blessing and the curse; therefore choose life, that you and your descendants may live. He gives us choices and even tells us what to choose. It’s an open book test, no one should fail. When we transform our minds and start using our mouth for it’s highest intended purpose, that’s when we can give the devil a headache.  

2 Corinthians 10:3-6 For the weapons of our warfare are not physical (weapons of flesh and blood), but they are mighty before God for the overthrow and destruction of strongholds. Inasmuch as we refute arguments and theories and reasoning’s and every proud and lofty thing that sets itself up against the TRUE knowledge of GOD; and we lead every thought and purpose away captive into the obedience of Christ, the Messiah, the Anointed One. Being in readiness to PUNISH every insubordinate for his disobedience when your own submission and obedience are fully secured and complete.

Don’t let the devil deposit “tormenting thoughts” into your mind. Tell the devil what the Word of God says. Read the Bible out loud to him, and watch him run, holding his hands over his ears. Let’s learn and believe who we are In Christ Jesus, and “pull it off” and deliver our main meal with compliments. Let’s use our BIG MOUTH to give the devil a headache!!!!
