HE Loves me Sooo Much
Several years ago a friend gave me a picture of Jesus that I absolutely adore. It is made of marble and He seems to be smiling with an “I know it all attitude” on His face. It is strategically hung in a place for easy viewing, hard to miss for anyone who enters my home. More recently, while passing the picture, I started kissing my fingers and placing them to His lips. I swear He winks at me, although the marble does not budge. It is such a comfort to realize the Deep Love He has for me in these uncertain times.
This is definitely something that God Almighty has done for me, because I was not raised in a wonderful, loving environment (no disrespect to my parents); everyone has issues. We went to church all the time, but true love was sadly lacking. One thing that God has taught me is that hurting people hurt people. Forgiveness has been revolutionary in my life. It has fortified my walk with God and people. He continues to prove Himself so faithful that it is almost impossible to not trust Him. It definitely has been a gift of grace that accompanied my salvation. God, who knows us better than we know ourselves, understands exactly what to deposit into us to help us on our journey.
His love for everyone is the same, but He deals differently with all His family. Life has its share of disappointments, pain, rejections, and misery; however, nothing misses His Almighty Eye, and nothing is out of reach of his Almighty Hand. He is so willing to rub His Healing Balm on our wounds; grasping this, keeps fear at bay. It is wonderful to live down here realizing that He surrounds us daily with His Protecting Love; in other words, He has our back.
I John 4:12 No man hath seen God at any time. If we love one another, God dwelleth in us and his love is perfected in us. (18) There is no fear in love; but perfect love casteth out fear; because fear hath torment. He that feareth is not made perfect in love. 1 John 5:4 For whatsoever is born of God over cometh the world; and this is the victory that over cometh the world, even our faith. (14) And this is the confidence that we have in Him, that if we ask anything according to his will, he heareth us (15) And if we know that he hears us, whatsoever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we desired of him. Galatians 5:6b Faith which worketh by love. 1 Cor. 13:13 And so faith, hope, love abide; (faith, conviction and belief respecting man’s relation to God and divine things; hope, joyful and confident expectation of eternal salvation; love, true affection for God and man, growing out of God’s love for and in us) these three, but the greatest of these is love.
I know that’s a lot to absorb, and we can’t comprehend His Love in a day. Keep seeking revelation knowledge of God’s Love; that’s where the victory is. It all happens when we learn and believe how much God truly loves us. I’ll never regret reading 1st, 2nd, and 3rd John every night for 2 years before retiring. We have to get it in us before it can come out. Surely, it won’t take you that long to get it. I can truly say that “I love you” and mean it, and that makes me smile and makes Jesus wink.
